We are practically at a loss for words when it comes to Carina. She has been the
most outstanding volunteer that we have ever had.
Not only has she been an amazing leader and role model for the other volunteers,
but she has also had a huge impact on all the children as well. Her child
management skills are outstanding, and she is a natural teacher and educator. She
has motivated Luca and Marlene to create lessons and age-appropriate activities
and games. She came in loaded with wonderful new games and materials, glowing
with enthusiasm and encouragement for the children. Everything that she did was
first class. And on top of being a dedicated volunteer for two months, she raised
funds from her family members and friends in Germany and bought educational
materials, stationery, sporting goods, and paint for the BNC. She has returned to
Germany, but her kindness and generosity lives on at Oponganda where she has
designated sponsorship money to assist three children with the monthly tuition
  payments for one year.
She got our 2022 school year off to a joyous and delightful start and we will truly
miss her. We wish her all the best as she returns to Germany and continues her
studies in the field of Education. We will roll out the welcome mat whenever she
decides to return. There are hundreds of little arms waiting to hug her again!!
