Pre-Primary

&

DayCare

Kindergarten

is

in

Grysblok,

a

suburb

of

Katutura

and

was

officially

opened

in

March

1995

by

the

wife

of

the

founding

President

of

Namibia,

Mrs.

K.

Nujoma.

After

almost

25

successful

years,

it

was

time

to

open

up

to

new

teaching

and

learning

concepts.

Besides

the

classrooms

all

toilets

needed

a

new

coat

of

paint

as

well.

Thanks

to

helping

hands

from

Rotaract

Windhoek

and

a

generous

donation

from

the

Rotary

Clubs

of

Goslar-Nordharz

and

Wernigerode,

the

baby

and

toddler

classrooms

now

shine

in

an

unprecedented

splendour,

-

complemented

with

Montessori

learning

and

play

materials.

The

teachers

are

continuously

supported

and

receive

training

that

enables

them

to

use

the

diverse

Montessori

material

profitably

and

sustainably

for

the

children.

Our community kindergarten is managed by THE CHILDRENS HOUSE TRUST.

It respects and considers the unique talents and cultural heritage of the children and staff. We are open from 6.30 to 17.30.

The kindergarten is open all year round and is only closed on public holidays

and between mid-December and early January.
