Marlene
volunteered
at
Oponganda
from
November
2021
until
September
2022.
She
had
to
get
used
to
working
and
playing
with
very
young
children.
After
a
bit
of
a
bumpy
start
our
volunteer
from
the
ACS
Göttingen found her feet.
She
supported
the
implementation
of
a
regular
physical
education
program
for
preschool
children
(3-6
years).
It
was
a
big
challenge
for
her
to
guide
the
children’s
enthusiasm
and
excitement
in
the
right
directions.
But
thanks
to
Marlene’s
patience,
the
children
soon
understood
the
difference
between
running
around
in
the
playground
and
the
variety
of
exercises,
games
and
activities
offered
to
them
every
week.
The
steady
progress
the
children
made
was
easy
to
observe.
Marlene
also
included
the
teachers
and
gave
them
helpful
support so that they can continue with some of the exercises now.
We
are
deeply
grateful
that
Marlene
gave
her
time
and
energy
to
our
Oponganda
children.
From
the
bottom
of
our
hearts,
we
wish
her
all
the
best
for
whatever
her
future
plans
are.
And
we
sincerely
hope
that
she
will
return to our beautiful Namibia and visit Oponganda.
